Tempe Museum Presents: A Celebration of Black History Month, this Saturday

Since 1976, February has served as the official Black History Month to honor and celebrate African American history. Tempe History Museum is celebrating Black History Month with a variety of guest presenters, musical performances and fine art throughout the month of February. There will be a special celebration of Black History Month on Saturday, February 13th from 4-6 pm. On Saturday, guests will be invited to celebrate art, music and fashion through the decades with Tempe History Museum’s African American Advisory Committee.

The program will give guests a look back at the music and fashion of the black community from the 1930s through the 1970s. Admission to the event is free and refreshments will be served.
