Bubbles & Bubbly Conversation
Champagne-fueled speed dating & free David Sedaris tix? Warning: awkwardly-hilarious conversations ahead
Do you love Champagne and snarky satire? Of course you do, what a silly question. What we meant was, do you love Champagne, snarky satire and are you single? Well then, have we got a fun fête for you. (And don’t worry happy couples, we’ve got something cool for you as well.) Hosted at the super-stylish Narcisse Champagne Lounge & Tea House in North Scottsdale, we’re holding our first-ever speed dating event next Friday, April 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. And not only is it free to attend, but we’re going to help get the conversations rolling with a free glass of bubbly for every dater.
But wait, there’s more. Click here to RSVP, and you’ll be automatically entered to win a free dinner at Narcisse topped off with a complimentary bottle of bubbly. Which means after you get married to your new love, you can come back and celebrate your anniversary at the same place you first met. Just promise us you’ll consider naming your firstborn child either Scoop or Factory. It’s got a nice ring to it, right?
And speaking of rapid-fire dialogue that will make you both laugh out loud and want to nervously chain-smoke cigarettes, author and raconteur, David Sedaris is coming to Scottsdale this Friday, April 22. As in tomorrow. And we’ve got two free tickets clutched in our nicotine-stained fingers. BTW If you’ve never read one of Sedaris’ famously biting books, may we suggest starting with his iconic Santaland Diaries story on NPR, where he recounts his experience working as Crumpet the Christmas Elf at Macy’s in NYC. It’s a snark-tastic holiday tradition around here.
To win, write “Sedaris” on our Facebook wall (or email us if you still think this whole Facebook thing is a fad). The winner will be picked today, April 21 at 5 pm so don’t delay.
