I Was Sleeping With a Ghost

7-300x224

BOoOo! Do you see dead people? How about hang out with them? Share a hotel room with them? Play light as a feather, stiff as a board? Well, now you can (except for maybe that last part) thanks to the Arizona Historical Society’s Sleeping With Ghosts Tour. Nope, you don’t have bed sheet over your eyes, this event is for real and will take interested tourists on a tour of haunted Arizona hotels. The tour, October 5-7, will be led by expert ghost catcher and psychic, Debe Branning, and will function as a fundraiser for the Arizona Historical Society. This means a portion of the tour will be tax deductible so you can get your spook on for a good cause. No word on whether or not you’ll be able to sleep better at night after the trip….

The tour will focus on the haunted territorial hotels in Jerome and Prescott with guests staying in the Hotel Hassyampa and the Jerome Grand Hotel, a former hospital that is said to be the most haunted building in Arizona. Reports of paranormal activity there are vast, but the most famous one surrounds the mysterious death of hospital maintenance man, Calude Harvey, who was found at the bottom of the elevator shaft he now allegedly haunts. Whether you believe in it or not, the tour sounds entertaining and historically informative at the very least. And, if you do get scared, at least you know who you’re gonna call.
