Set in Nagasaki, Japan, the opera follows the story of a young geisha who falls in love with and marries an American sailor. Will love clip the young geisha's wings? Will Madama Butterfly find the love she is looking for? Playing in both Phoenix and Tucson, Shu-Ying Li will sing the title role of Puccini's beloved opera.
