Drink and dine with rockstar and local winemaker, Maynard James Keenan at NOCA Restaurant
So, we were hoping to do a write up today on The Main Ingredient Ale House & Café after one of our staffers ate there last night and loved it. But when we reached the very groggy owner this morning, he hung up on us, saying it was way too early for a sales call. So here’s our eight word review: Good food, clunky name, great drinks, grumpy owner.
Speaking of top-flight food and drink, drop by NOCA Restaurant tonight to experience one wild wine and food event. Hosted by winemaker/metalhead, Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Perfect Circle), the dinner will feature wines from Keenen’s Arizona Stronghold Vineyard. Located on 80-acres at the base of the Chiricahua Mountains in the far southeast corner of the state, this boutique vineyard produces several highly-drinkable red, white and rosé blends. Tix to this sumptuous four-course feast are $115, including the wine pairings, and tattoos are suggested but not required.
Can’t make it to the dinner? Check out the worldwide premier of Keenan’s “Blood into Wine” documentary, which detail’s this rocker’s decade-long evolution into a successful grape guru, this Friday at the W Scottsdale.
