Scottsdale’s Sushi Roku rolls out trendy Tokyo-style portable sushi stations at the Birds Nest

It might be a wet and cold Monday, but the forecast calls for plenty of fun in the sun here at Scoop Factory. That’s because it’s WM Phoenix Open time, and that means a full week of “off-site meetings” and late-night B2B networking inside the Birds Nest. Speaking of the ‘dirty birdy,’ we’re excited to hear that Sushi Roku will be handling all VIP catering inside this week-long party tent. Even better, this stylish Japanese hot spot inside the W Scottsdale (pictured) will be bringing an authentic taste of Tokyo nightlife to the wilds of North Scottsdale.
Called “Yatai,” these portable stands are a nighttime staple across Asia, serving up sushi, noodles and other street-side eats to partying patrons as they exit bars and nightclubs. Tucked inside the Birds Nest’s VIP and Coop tents, Sushi Roku’s Yatai carts will each feature a pair of skilled chefs dishing out complimentary hand-rolled sushi and other Japanese delicacies. Birds Nest VIP tix are $175, and also include exclusive access to the Ketel One Vodka tent and a premium viewing area for the nightly musical lineup.
Can’t make it to the Nest? Make like another famous bird, Arizona Cardinal, Matt Leinart, and order up a Sushi Roku Yaitai cart for your next private shindig.
