Meet Kevin Cotter, Tucson resident, recent divorcee and burgeoning blogstar. Turns out, Kevin’s wife of 12 years left him a few months back, leaving behind her wedding gown and telling him to do with it what he’d like. After much thought (or at least a few beers), he decided to try to find 101 uses for MyExWifesWeddingDress.

So far he’s found 24 uses including scarecrow (pictured), Christmas tree skirt, pasta strainer and even writing “Go Cats” on the dress and holding it up at a UofA football game. Now, thanks to the power of the internet, his little project is getting worldwide fame, with visitors checking in from as far away as Taiwan and Australia. More recently, national media outlets have taken notice, starting with morning radio shows and culminating with an interview for ABC News and a segment on Inside Edition. And would you believe it, the classy folks at Inside Edition did a hatchet job, portraying Kevin as a bitter divorcee out for revenge?

Says Kevin, “I am not a husband scorned. I’m not even an angry ex-husband. I’m just a guy who got stuck with his ex’s dress and thought 101 uses for it might make a funny book.” Then again, when you brag to the world about using your ex-wife’s wedding dress as dental floss, you have to expect a little blowback, right? Either way, we’re hooked and will keep you updated as his journey evolves.
