First things first, happy Bring Your Dog to Work day, everybody. Now let’s get right to it because it’s going to be a busy weekend. First stop is a little more serious and somber, but definitely worth your time. Starting tonight at 7 pm, local photographer Rodney Rascona is putting a face on Haiti’s cultural reconstruction with an exhibit hosted at The Icehouse in downtown Phoenix. Named the “The Pink Door Photographs, and held in conjunction with The Paradigm Project, Food for the Hungry and relief organization Medair, this collection of portraits captures everyday Haitians posing in front of a pink door. 429 W. Jackson St., 602-257-8929

For something something a little more funky and fun, head to the new Rip’s Ales & Cocktails in Phoenix to catch DJ William F’ing Reed’s tribute to Michael Jackson. Held as part of his regular Friday night dance party, Sticky Fingers, Reed describes this new Mother F’ing dance night as, “a rock ‘n’ roll party with an emphasis on fashion, getting dressed-up and getting wild .” 3045 N. 16th St., 602-266-0015

Finally, for something a little more family-friendly, head out to the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale to catch Sesame Street Live. Celebrating 30 years of live shows, watch as everybody’s fav puppets take the audience on a trip around the world, including Captain Ernie sailing the seas on the “Good Ship Rubber Duckie,” and Elmo dancing through an exotic rain forest. Entitled “1-2-3 Imagine! with Elmo & Friends,” the show also features classic characters such as Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Grover and our fav, Count von Count (ah-ah-ah!) 9400 W. Maryland Ave., 623-772-3200
