There's a certain calming ambiance just through the doors of Cypress Pavilion, Health Preservation and Care center in Old Town Scottsdale. The center, offering Chinese Treatment Modalities, is designed along the time honored tradition of a balanced oriental clinic with Western amenities. With pure white walls, exposed wood beams, two treatment rooms offering a yin or yang experience and the modern touches of iPod docks in each room so patients can rock their own tunes during therapy, Cypress Pavilion has created a modern therapeutic oasis in Scottsdale. Owned by Bryon Leon Powers, the Pavilion provides acupuncture, bodywork, Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong therapies in either a yin or yang designed treatment room. Powers described health preservation as "an ancient pursuit which cultivates life, builds health, and prevents illness in the pursuit of prolonging life."
