Scotch, Smoke & Steaks—J&G Steakhouse Invites “The Glenlivet” to Dinner
J&G Steakhouse is quickly becoming one of our favorite destinations, and not just because they advertise on Scoop Factory. We love the big-city feel of this classy, view-filled penthouse atop The Phoenician. Especially now that we’ve learned to bypass the sprawling lobby by self-parking under the resort, then riding the elevator right to the restaurant’s handsome lounge, humming the theme to “The Jefferson’s” the whole way.
Speaking of 70s-era TV characters, drop by J&G this Thursday and do your best Ron Burgundy impression at The Glenlivet Dinner. (”Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly.”) Savor a combined 107 years of aged single-malt spirits, paired with a hearty four-course dinner and complimentary cigars from the Scottsdale Cigar Club—all for only $75. That’s a lot of booze for your bucks, considering just one of the scotches served—the 25-year-old, sherry-cask-aged Glenlivet XXV—costs that much by the glass. No word on whether you can order it Burgundy-style, i.e. “three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper … and some cheese.”
