Weekend Guide
From singing Reality TV stars to a nationwide skinny dip celebration, this is going to be one wild weekend

So here’s a wacky one. We all know it’s swimsuit season here in the Valley of the Sun, but did you know that tomorrow is birthday suit season? Yes, the American Association for Nude Recreation (who knew?) will be attempting to break the world record for most people simultaneously Skinny-Dipping. Even better, we found some local nudist hotspots where you can get your birthday suit on, or is it off?
The 2009 record was set with a whopping 13,648 participants nationwide, and this year they’re asking for even more stripping & dipping. Arizona has three participating locations (again, who knew?), Arizona Wildflowers, Shangri La Ranch and Mira Vista Resort. Grab some friends—which might be a poor choice of words—show up* by 11:30 am with a photo ID, strip down and try your hardest to not stare awkwardly at the wrinkly ones. *We suggest calling ahead for full details and policies of the individual locations.
Also on Saturday, The Bachelorette’s most chauvinistic eligible bachelor to date, Wes Hayden, makes his Valley musical debut at Cave Creek Coffee Company. If you haven’t been, ‘C4′ is a charmingly intimate, kick-back coffee house and wine bar … just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Valley proper. According to the press release, Hayden plans to perform a “powerful” set of country songs from his third album, “Full Circle.” Hayden states, “My goal is to write songs people can relate to, dance, sing, cry, laugh and be inspired by.” Ambitious. Hopefully this psuedo-star has, in fact, come full circle. 6033 E. Cave Creek Rd., 480-488-0603
